m\u00e1quina r\u00e9cord: el proyecto TUM Boring 2024<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>El principal reto del concurso \u00abNot-a-Boring Competition\u00bb, organizado por <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boringcompany.com\/\">The Boring Company<\/a>, estaba claro: perforar un t\u00fanel de 30 metros lo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido posible. Para nosotros, en <a href=\"https:\/\/tum-boring.com\/\">TUM Boring<\/a>, esto significaba combinar un alto rendimiento con la m\u00e1xima versatilidad. Nos centramos en tres prioridades clave de dise\u00f1o:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mayor par en el cabezal de corte<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mayor longitud m\u00e1xima del t\u00fanel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adaptabilidad a diversos escenarios geol\u00f3gicos<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque las reglas del concurso ofrec\u00edan mucha libertad de dise\u00f1o, los equipos ten\u00edan que cumplir estrictos requisitos de seguridad y trabajar dentro de las limitaciones de la infraestructura. Bas\u00e1ndonos en muestras del suelo local, esper\u00e1bamos una arcilla pegajosa, y dise\u00f1amos un sistema antiadherente a base de espuma en el cabezal de corte. Este componente ten\u00eda que transferir espuma de la parte no rotatoria a la rotatoria de la m\u00e1quina, directamente al cabezal de corte, lo que exig\u00eda tolerancias extremadamente ajustadas y Dise\u00f1amos y pedimos primero los componentes con los plazos de entrega m\u00e1s largos, aunque algunas piezas llegaron cerca o despu\u00e9s de nuestros plazos. En general, utilizamos el mayor n\u00famero posible de piezas estandarizadas para beneficiarnos de su menor coste y plazos de entrega m\u00e1s cortos. Saber que ten\u00edamos un \u00abas en la manga\u00bb, listo para entregar r\u00e1pidamente piezas CNC precisas cuando el tiempo y la flexibilidad se volv\u00edan cr\u00edticos, nos permiti\u00f3 mantenernos centrados y confiados. De cara al futuro, tenemos previsto confiar a\u00fan m\u00e1s en este enfoque de fabricaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida en futuros ciclos de desarrollo\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proceso de montaje, similar a nuestro planteamiento de dise\u00f1o, sigui\u00f3 una estrategia de \u00abdivide y vencer\u00e1s\u00bb: ensamblar los distintos subsistemas por separado antes de integrarlos en el conjunto de la m\u00e1quina. El mismo principio gui\u00f3 nuestra fase de pruebas: cada subsistema se prob\u00f3 por separado, luego se combin\u00f3 con otros y, por \u00faltimo, se dio vida a la m\u00e1quina completa con todos est\u00e1 por venir<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>El momento m\u00e1s gratificante lleg\u00f3 cuando nos dimos cuenta de que no s\u00f3lo hab\u00edamos ganado, sino que tambi\u00e9n hab\u00edamos establecido un nuevo r\u00e9cord de longitud del t\u00fanel. El r\u00e9cord anterior era de unos 20 metros, y lo superamos perforando 22,5 metros. Aunque nuestra m\u00e1quina estaba dise\u00f1ada para llegar mucho m\u00e1s lejos, la inesperada dureza de la geolog\u00eda del lugar de la competici\u00f3n lo impidi\u00f3, por lo que el logro fue a\u00fan m\u00e1s significativo. Fue un gran hito que coron\u00f3 m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o de intensa preparaci\u00f3n, sprints de ingenier\u00eda e incontables horas de trabajo en equipo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y esto no es todo: ya se ha anunciado la pr\u00f3xima competici\u00f3n para 2026. Un nuevo equipo de TUM Boring se est\u00e1 reuniendo para superar a\u00fan m\u00e1s los l\u00edmites, con una nueva m\u00e1quina, nuevas ideas y objetivos a\u00fan m\u00e1s ambiciosos.<\/p>\n\n\n Reflexionamos sobre tres conclusiones clave: las personas son el factor de \u00e9xito definitivo, tanto el equipo como sus seguidores; divide y vencer\u00e1s: dividir el proyecto en subsistemas evita
