C\u2019est aussi une fa\u00e7on reconnue de diminuer le poids total de l\u2019ouvrage. Par cons\u00e9quent, si la taille ne constitue pas un \u00e9l\u00e9ment critique (par exemple, dans le cas d\u2019un prototype visuel), il est possible de la r\u00e9duire afin de r\u00e9aliser des \u00e9conomies substantielles.
