Autrefois consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme une curiosit\u00e9, l\u2019impression 3D s\u2019est rapidement impos\u00e9e un \u00e9l\u00e9ment indispensable, et largement utilis\u00e9, de l\u2019industrie m\u00e9dicale, en raison de ses caract\u00e9ristiques consid\u00e9r\u00e9es aujourd\u2019hui comme cruciales pour cette branche industrielle&nbsp;: rapidit\u00e9, versatilit\u00e9, capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler avec diff\u00e9rents mat\u00e9riaux, possibilit\u00e9s de personnalisation, r\u00e9p\u00e9tabilit\u00e9 et, bien s\u00fbr, la facult\u00e9 de produire des pi\u00e8ces hautement complexes.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/les-applications-de-la-technologie-dls-de-carbon-a-lindustrie-medicale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">applications de l\u2019impression 3D \u00e0 l\u2019industrie m\u00e9dicale<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;incluent la fabrication de proth\u00e8ses sur mesure (y compris les proth\u00e8ses dentaires), d\u2019implants, de mod\u00e8les anatomiques r\u00e9alistes destin\u00e9s \u00e0 la formation ou \u00e0 la pr\u00e9paration des op\u00e9rations chirurgicales, des prototypes d\u2019assistance m\u00e9dicale, des instruments m\u00e9dicaux et toutes sortes d\u2019\u00e9quipements sanitaires.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-quels-sont-les-exigences-des-materiaux-utilises-dans-l-industrie-medicale\"><strong>Quels sont les exigences des mat\u00e9riaux utilis\u00e9s dans l\u2019industrie m\u00e9dicale ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L\u2019impression 3D est une technologie de fabrication industrielle \u00ab&nbsp;\u00e0 large spectre&nbsp;\u00bb, compatible avec de nombreux types de mat\u00e9riaux (plastiques, m\u00e9taux ou \u00e9lastom\u00e8res). Cependant, un mat\u00e9riau utilisable pour l\u2019impression 3D ne sera pas forc\u00e9ment adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 une application m\u00e9dicale. Il existe certaines propri\u00e9t\u00e9s qu\u2019un mat\u00e9riau se doit de poss\u00e9der afin d\u2019\u00eatre un candidat viable \u00e0 une telle application. Entre autres, le mat\u00e9riau doit \u00eatre :<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Biocompatible <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: c\u2019est la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sine qua non<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> pour les mat\u00e9riaux destin\u00e9s \u00e0 la fabrication d\u2019implants et de dispositifs m\u00e9dicaux \u00e0 usage interne. En gros, cela signifie qu\u2019ils doivent \u00eatre compl\u00e8tement inerte lorsqu\u2019immerg\u00e9 dans un environnement biologique. Tous les implants, les proth\u00e8ses dentaires, les substituts d\u2019organes ou d\u2019os, les pacemakers et, d\u2019une fa\u00e7on g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, tous les dispositifs m\u00e9dicaux destin\u00e9s \u00e0 rester en contact avec les tissus organiques humains, se doivent d\u2019\u00eatre biocompatibles.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>St\u00e9rilisable <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: du fait des exigences sanitaires particuli\u00e8rement draconiennes en vigueur dans l\u2019industrie m\u00e9dicale, le fait d\u2019\u00eatre st\u00e9rilisable est un point critique et constitue m\u00eame une propri\u00e9t\u00e9 vitale pour tous les mat\u00e9riaux d\u2019impression 3D destin\u00e9s aux applications m\u00e9dicales.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Bio-utilisable <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: pour les dispositifs destin\u00e9s \u00e0 se substituer \u00e0 certaines parties du corps (proth\u00e8ses, dentiers, implants, organes artificiels), il ne suffit pas, pour le mat\u00e9riau utilis\u00e9, d\u2019\u00eatre biocompatible. Il est \u00e9galement n\u00e9cessaire qu\u2019il poss\u00e8de des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physiques similaires \u00e0 l\u2019organe d\u2019origine. Par exemple&nbsp;: un substitut osseux doit \u00eatre dur et r\u00e9sistant, en particulier il doit \u00eatre dot\u00e9 d\u2019une forte r\u00e9sistance en compression. De la m\u00eame fa\u00e7on, un mat\u00e9riau utilis\u00e9 pour imprimer une oreille humaine devra \u00eatre relativement mou.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c0 noter que les caract\u00e9ristiques requises peuvent varier en fonction de l\u2019application finale du produit \u00e0 fabriquer.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"plastiques-adaptes-a-lindustrie-medicale\"><strong>Plastiques adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;industrie m\u00e9dicale<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-pa-12-nylon\"><strong>PA 12 (nylon)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C\u2019est un mat\u00e9riau hautement versatile, l\u00e9ger, r\u00e9sistant \u00e0 la corrosion et aux attaques chimiques. Solide tout en \u00e9tant flexible, il r\u00e9siste tr\u00e8s bien aux impacts et \u00e0 la traction. Le nylon PA 12 peut \u00eatre st\u00e9rilis\u00e9 au moyen d\u2019oxyde d\u2019\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne, de radiations gamma, de plasma, ou tout simplement \u00e0 la vapeur, par autoclave. On peut l\u2019utiliser avec les technologies\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-multi-jet-fusion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MJF<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0ou\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-frittage-selectif-par-laser-sls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SLS<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. En tant que mat\u00e9riau agr\u00e9\u00e9 pour un usage m\u00e9dical, le nylon PA 12 est certifi\u00e9 ISO et USP (grade I \u2013 IV). Il est commun\u00e9ment utilis\u00e9 pour fabriquer des proth\u00e8ses.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-abs-m30i\"><strong>ABS M30i<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le mat\u00e9riau ABS M30i est un autre thermoplastique dont l\u2019utilisation est largement r\u00e9pandue dans l\u2019industrie m\u00e9dicale. Biocompatible, st\u00e9rilisable par radiations gamma, plasma ou oxyde d\u2019\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne, il est certifi\u00e9 ISO et USP (grade I \u2013 IV). Ce mat\u00e9riau est souvent utilis\u00e9 pour fabriquer des \u00e9quipements sanitaires et des mod\u00e8les anatomiques d\u00e9taill\u00e9s. Il est \u00e9galement possible de l\u2019utiliser pour fabriquer des proth\u00e8ses. L\u2019ABS M30i est solide, avec une forte r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction et aux impacts. On l\u2018utilise avec la technologie\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-depot-de-fil-fondu-fdm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FDM<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-pc-iso\"><strong>PC ISO<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ce mat\u00e9riau est commun\u00e9ment utilis\u00e9 pour cr\u00e9er des moules, des prototypes et des guides chirurgicaux sur mesure. Bien que la qualit\u00e9 de son fini soit inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle du nylon PA 12, il n\u2019en demeure pas moins un mat\u00e9riau solide, avec une forte r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction et peu affect\u00e9 par la chaleur. Le PC ISO est \u00e9galement biocompatible, bien que sur une courte p\u00e9riode, et peut \u00eatre st\u00e9rilis\u00e9 au moyen d\u2019oxyde d\u2019\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne et de radiations gamma. On l\u2019utilise aussi avec la technologie FDM.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-polyetherimide-ultem-1010\"><strong>ULTEM 1010<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compar\u00e9 aux autres thermoplastiques utilis\u00e9s en FDM, l\u2019ULTEM 1010 est l\u2019un des plus r\u00e9sistants \u00e0 la chaleur et aux attaques chimiques. Il est hautement biocompatible et peut \u00eatre st\u00e9rilis\u00e9 au moyen de radiations gamma, d\u2019oxyde d\u2019\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne, de plasma ou \u00e0 l\u2019autoclave. On l\u2019utilise pour r\u00e9aliser des prototypes, des proth\u00e8ses et des guides chirurgicaux.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ppsf\"><strong>SIL 30<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c9lastom\u00e8re hautement flexible et biocompatible, le silicone est r\u00e9sistant \u00e0 la chaleur et aux d\u00e9chirures. Il est commun\u00e9ment utilis\u00e9 dans la fabrication d\u2019\u00e9quipements portables, en contact prolong\u00e9 avec la peau (comme les masques respiratoires). On peut \u00e9galement l\u2019utiliser pour imprimer des implants. Ce mat\u00e9riau est compatible avec la technologie\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-carbon-dls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: m\u00e9dicale<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"titane-grade-5-ti6al4v\"><strong>Titane Grade 5 (Ti6Al4V)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le titane est un m\u00e9tal omnipr\u00e9sent dans l\u2019industrie m\u00e9dicale, un statut qu\u2019il doit \u00e0 ses propri\u00e9t\u00e9s mirifiques et aux similitudes qu\u2019il exhibe par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019os humain. C\u2019est un mat\u00e9riau extr\u00eamement r\u00e9sistant, solide, endurant \u00e0 la chaleur et \u00e0 la corrosion, inerte, hautement biocompatible et qui peut \u00eatre st\u00e9rilis\u00e9 au travers de diff\u00e9rentes m\u00e9thodes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le titane est tr\u00e8s largement utilis\u00e9 dans l\u2019industrie m\u00e9dicale pour la fabrication de proth\u00e8ses orthop\u00e9diques sur mesure (substituts osseux ou articulaires), de proth\u00e8ses dentaires et de plaques cr\u00e2niennes. Il est aussi utilis\u00e9 pour fabriquer des ustensiles m\u00e9dicaux. Le titane s\u2019emploie avec la technologie DMLS.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cobalt-chrome-cocr28mo6\"><strong>Cobalt Chrome (CoCr28Mo6)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tout comme le titane, le cobalt-chrome est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandu dans l\u2019industrie m\u00e9dicale, o\u00f9 il est utilis\u00e9 pour fabriquer des implants orthop\u00e9diques (dents, os, etc\u2026) ainsi que des articulations artificielles \u00e0 usage intensif (hanche, \u00e9paule ou genou). Le cobalt-chrome est biocompatible et hautement r\u00e9sistant \u00e0 la chaleur, la corrosion, l\u2019usure et les attaques chimiques. En d\u00e9pit de son poids relativement faible, sa r\u00e9sistance et sa duret\u00e9 sont tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9es. On l\u2019utilise avec la technologie\u00a0DMLS.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"acier-inoxydable-174ph\"><strong>Acier inoxydable (17-4PH)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L\u2019acier inoxydable est dot\u00e9 d\u2019une forte r\u00e9sistance. Biocompatible, il peut \u00eatre st\u00e9rilis\u00e9 au travers de diff\u00e9rentes m\u00e9thodes. Cependant, sa r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la corrosion n\u2019est pas permanente, ce qui fait que le titane ou le cobalt-chrome lui sont souvent pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s (en particulier pour les implants).
