En v\u00e9rit\u00e9, c\u2019est son co\u00fbt relativement faible, alli\u00e9 \u00e0 une certaine facilit\u00e9 d\u2019utilisation, qui en font un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 id\u00e9al dans de nombreuses applications. De plus, la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019imprimer directement en couleur est un argument d\u2019adoption suppl\u00e9mentaire, en particulier car cela permet de r\u00e9duire les frais de post-usinage. Les imprimantes FDM utilisent de fins filaments thermoplastiques (un genre de plastique que l\u2019on peut faire fondre \u00e0 la chaleur et qui se solidifie \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante), distribu\u00e9s sous forme liquide au moyen d\u2019une buse chauffante. Le plastique en fusion est alors d\u00e9pos\u00e9 en fines couches successives pour fa\u00e7onner le mod\u00e8le 3D voulu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De nos jours, <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/fused-deposition-modeling-fdm-technologie-dimpression-3d\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">l\u2019impression 3D FDM<\/a> peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e dans de nombreux champs d\u2019application, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse d\u2019impressions professionnelles ou de projets men\u00e9s par des particuliers.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-impression-3d-grand-public\"><strong>L\u2019impression 3D grand public<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>L\u2019impression 3D FDM \u00ab \u00e0 la maison \u00bb, ou grand public, est principalement destin\u00e9e aux amateurs et aux personnes qui en font un hobby, pour un usage domestique. Les imprimantes 3D associ\u00e9es \u00e0 ce segment sont des machines compactes, abordables et faciles d\u2019utilisation, qui permettent aux amateurs d\u2019effectuer de nombreuses exp\u00e9riences avec leurs mod\u00e8les CAO pour se faire une id\u00e9e de leur faisabilit\u00e9. Les tailles d\u2019ouvrage que l\u2019on peut atteindre vont de 10 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm \u00e0 200 mm x 200 mm x 200 mm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mat\u00e9riaux :<\/strong> les mat\u00e9riaux les plus communs pour les amateurs sont le PLA, l\u2019ABS, le PETG et l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/en\/materials\/asa\/\">A<\/a>S<a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/materials\/asa\/\">A<\/a>. Elles sont destin\u00e9es aux amateurs et \u00e0 un usage domestique, notamment pour la fabrication de pi\u00e8ces de rechange, d\u2019articles personnalis\u00e9s ou d\u00e9coratifs, de jouets, etc\u2026 L\u2019impression elle-m\u00eame est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement lente et peut prendre plusieurs heures dans le cas d\u2019un mod\u00e8le un tant soit peu complexe, dont il faudra \u00e9galement surveiller l\u2019\u00e9laboration. Cela en limite le domaine d\u2019utilisation aux fabrications de pi\u00e8ces de taille r\u00e9duite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Une basse r\u00e9solution : <\/strong>la qualit\u00e9 d\u2019impression descend rarement jusqu\u2019\u00e0 100 microns, une r\u00e9solution nettement plus basse que ce que l\u2019on peut attendre d\u2019une imprimante professionnelle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Un choix limit\u00e9 de mat\u00e9riaux :<\/strong> les imprimantes 3D grand public sont limit\u00e9es \u00e0 une poign\u00e9e de mat\u00e9riaux plastiques diff\u00e9rents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Des impressions lentes :<\/strong> la lenteur d\u2019impression, et les erreurs encore trop fr\u00e9quentes, constituent toujours les principaux obstacles \u00e0 la d\u00e9mocratisation de l\u2019impression 3D.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Une pauvre exactitude :<\/strong> bien que la pr\u00e9cision des imprimantes 3D grand public s\u2019am\u00e9liore constamment \u00e0 chaque g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, elle reste tr\u00e8s en-de\u00e7\u00e0 de ce que l\u2019on peut obtenir avec une imprimante 3D professionnelle. C\u2019est un facteur limitant quant \u00e0 la complexit\u00e9 des objets imprim\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-impression-3d-industrielle\"><strong>L\u2019impression 3D industrielle\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>L\u2019impression 3D industrielle, parfois \u00e9galement appel\u00e9e \u00ab impression 3D professionnelle \u00bb, est la contrepartie industrielle de l\u2019impression 3D grand public, principalement utilis\u00e9e dans le cadre de la mod\u00e9lisation de concepts, d\u2019outillage, de production \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, de prototypes fonctionnels et de pi\u00e8ces destin\u00e9es \u00e0 \u00eatre mises sur le march\u00e9.
