L&rsquo;impression SLS consiste \u00e0 utiliser un laser haute puissance pour fritter de petites particules de poudre de polym\u00e8re en un produit bas\u00e9 sur un mod\u00e8le CAO 3D. Ce chauffage est effectu\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un appareillage infra-rouge situ\u00e9 juste au-dessus de la plateforme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>\u00c9tape 2 \u2013 Impression 3D SLS de la pi\u00e8ce \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Une fois la fine couche de mati\u00e8re convenablement dispos\u00e9e et pr\u00e9chauff\u00e9e, un faisceau concentr\u00e9 de laser au CO2 est dirig\u00e9 sur le lit de mati\u00e8re et contr\u00f4l\u00e9 au moyen de galvanom\u00e8tres, de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 op\u00e9rer une fusion thermique du mat\u00e9riau pour fa\u00e7onner, couche apr\u00e8s couche, la section transversale de la pi\u00e8ce, selon <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/astuces-de-conception-pour-limpression-3d-par-fsl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">le mod\u00e8le CAO d\u2019origine<\/a>. L\u2019\u00e9paisseur de la couche de mati\u00e8re est d\u00e9finie \u00e0 l\u2019avance, dans le logiciel de d\u00e9coupage en tranches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La poudre restante d\u2019une couche demeure telle qu\u2019elle et sert de support \u00e0 la couche suivante, ce qui permet de se passer de structures de maintien.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Une fois la couche actuelle termin\u00e9e, la plateforme d\u2019impression est abaiss\u00e9e d\u2019une hauteur correspondant \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9paisseur de couche, avant d\u2019en disposer une nouvelle qui sera \u00e9tal\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce au rouleau de nivellement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le laser au CO2 poursuit alors la construction de la section transversale. Le processus se poursuit jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que l\u2019int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 de la pi\u00e8ce soit achev\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>\u00c9tape 3 \u2013 Refroidissement et post-usinage de la pi\u00e8ce 3D SLS<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalement, la pi\u00e8ce achev\u00e9e est retir\u00e9e de la plateforme et la poudre restante est \u00e9vacu\u00e9e. Des op\u00e9rations de finition additionnelles sont alors effectu\u00e9es, le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant (teinture, coloration, finition de qualit\u00e9 alimentaire, grenaillage, etc&#8230;).<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-materiaux-pour-l-impression-3d-sls\"><strong>Mat\u00e9riaux pour l&rsquo;impression 3D SLS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>La technologie de frittage s\u00e9lectif par laser peut employer une vaste gamme de poudres thermoplastiques. Parmi les poudres thermoplastiques fr\u00e9quemment employ\u00e9es dans le frittage s\u00e9lectif par laser, on retrouve le polyamide (nylon), le polypropyl\u00e8ne et les \u00e9lastom\u00e8res thermoplastiques (TPE). Les mat\u00e9riaux SLS peuvent \u00eatre class\u00e9s en deux cat\u00e9gories principales :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Les mat\u00e9riaux rigides : <\/strong>PA 12 (ordinaire, <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.pro\/fr\/materiaux\/nylon-12-arme-de-verre\/\">rempli de verre<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.pro\/fr\/materiaux\/nylon-pa2241-flame-retardant-sls\/\"> ignifuge<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.pro\/fr\/materiaux\/nylon-12-de-qualite-alimentaire-blanc\/\">qualit\u00e9 alimentaire<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.pro\/fr\/materiaux\/nylon-12-alumide-gris\/\">rempli d&rsquo;aluminium)<\/a>, PA 11 (ordinaire, qualit\u00e9 alimentaire) et polypropyl\u00e8ne (PP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Les mat\u00e9riaux<\/strong> <strong>flexibles :<\/strong> Flex TPU<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.pro\/fr\/materiaux\/nylon-pa-12-sls-mjf\/\">Le nylon PA12<\/a> est l\u2019un des mat\u00e9riaux d\u2019impression 3D les plus populaires : une mati\u00e8re plastique disposant de bonnes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques (solidit\u00e9, l\u2019impression FDM. Par cons\u00e9quent, les impressions SLS se comportent comme \u00e9tant isotropes :&nbsp; les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques, telles que la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction, la duret\u00e9 et la capacit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9longation sont les m\u00eames, quel que soit l\u2019axe consid\u00e9r\u00e9 (x, y ou z).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Du fait de leurs excellentes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques, les pi\u00e8ces imprim\u00e9es via SLS sont souvent utilis\u00e9es comme alternatives aux pi\u00e8ces plastiques moul\u00e9es par injection. Elles b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient \u00e9galement d\u2019une bonne r\u00e9sistance aux agents chimiques (ex. : Nylon PA 12).<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-inconvenients-de-la-technologie-sls-en-impression-3d\"><strong>Inconv\u00e9nients de la technologie SLS en impression 3D<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 ses avantages, la technologie SLS pr\u00e9sente \u00e9galement un petit nombre d\u2019inconv\u00e9nients :<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-les-pieces-imprimees-via-sls-sont-poreuses-et-possedent-une-structure-friable\"><strong>Les pi\u00e8ces imprim\u00e9es via SLS sont poreuses et poss\u00e8dent une structure friable<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Bien que les impressions SLS aient une bonne r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction, elles sont beaucoup moins flexibles et c\u00e8dent plus facilement lorsque soumises \u00e0 des d\u00e9formations r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9es. Cette m\u00eame porosit\u00e9, qui les rend si aptes aux op\u00e9rations de coloration, compromet leur int\u00e9grit\u00e9 structurelle. C\u2019est pour cette raison que les impressions SLS sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utilis\u00e9es en tant que prototypes et ne sont pas recommand\u00e9es comme pi\u00e8ces fonctionnelles.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-les-impressions-sls-sont-sujettes-a-la-contraction\"><strong>Les impressions SLS sont sujettes \u00e0 la contraction<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p>La technologie d\u2019impression 3D SLS fonctionne en exposant le mat\u00e9riau d\u2019impression \u00e0 de hautes temp\u00e9ratures, afin de mener \u00e0 bien l\u2019op\u00e9ration de frittage. Au cours de la phase de refroidissement, la pi\u00e8ce subit, toutefois, une contraction thermique qui vient directement affecter sa pr\u00e9cision dimensionnelle : le taux de contraction peut aller jusqu\u2019\u00e0 3%, voire 4%, ce qui est objectivement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que dans les technologies alternatives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est crucial de prendre cet \u00e9tat de fait en ligne de compte d\u00e8s la phase de conception, afin d\u2019ajuster le volume du mod\u00e8le d\u2019origine en cons\u00e9quence. Le stress induit par la contraction peut aussi entra\u00eener des d\u00e9formations et des torsions au niveau des ar\u00eates et des angles aigus.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-taux-de-dechet-plus-eleve-en-sls-en-raison-de-la-matiere-pulverulente-utilisee\"><strong>Un taux de d\u00e9chet plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 en SLS, en raison de la mati\u00e8re pulv\u00e9rulente utilis\u00e9e<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p>La poudre dispos\u00e9e dans l\u2019enceinte d\u2019impression doit \u00eatre pr\u00e9chauff\u00e9e, ceci afin de pouvoir entrer en fusion avec une exposition minimale au laser. La temp\u00e9rature \u00e9lev\u00e9e du frittage peut affecter la poudre autour de l\u2019ouvrage imprim\u00e9, voire provoquer des fusions intempestives, ce qui va alt\u00e9rer la qualit\u00e9 de la mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaque impression laissant derri\u00e8re elle une portion de poudre non utilis\u00e9e, il est in\u00e9vitable de se retrouver, par accumulation, avec une quantit\u00e9 non n\u00e9gligeable de mati\u00e8re dont il faut se d\u00e9barrasser.
