En r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 ce constat, notre \u00e9quipe a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 Geocell Grid \u2014 un syst\u00e8me de stabilisation du sol \u00e0 la fois durable et \u00e9conomique, qui combine des mat\u00e9riaux recycl\u00e9s \u00e0 la performance \u00e9prouv\u00e9e des g\u00e9ocellules et des g\u00e9ogrilles.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ingenierie-circulaire-face-a-l-erosion\"><strong><strong><strong>Ing\u00e9nierie circulaire face \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9rosion<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Inondations, glissements de terrain, temp\u00eates : ces ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes sont de plus en plus fr\u00e9quents au Royaume-Uni. Ils impactent des millions d\u2019habitations et entra\u00eenent des milliards de livres de pertes. En 2025, on estimait que 2,4 millions de propri\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e9taient expos\u00e9es au risque d\u2019inondation. \u00c0 elle seule, la temp\u00eate Angus a caus\u00e9 56 millions de livres de d\u00e9g\u00e2ts, touchant 266 logements et 113 entreprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les sols meubles, fragilis\u00e9s par les fortes pluies et les terrains d\u00e9tremp\u00e9s, aggravent les risques d\u2019\u00e9rosion et d\u2019affaissement. Routes, voies ferr\u00e9es, zones inondables : de nombreuses infrastructures sont directement concern\u00e9es. Les secteurs de la construction et du g\u00e9nie g\u00e9otechnique doivent aujourd\u2019hui adopter des mat\u00e9riaux plus durables, sans compromettre la performance ni les co\u00fbts.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-une-solution-hybride-geocellules-geogrilles\"><strong><strong><strong>Une solution hybride : g\u00e9ocellules + g\u00e9ogrilles<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces enjeux, nous avons con\u00e7u un syst\u00e8me int\u00e9gr\u00e9 combinant g\u00e9ocellules et g\u00e9ogrilles, capable d\u2019offrir une excellente stabilisation du sol et un contr\u00f4le efficace de l\u2019\u00e9rosion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>G\u00e9ogrille<\/strong> : inspir\u00e9e des mailles synth\u00e9tiques utilis\u00e9es dans l\u2019industrie, notre g\u00e9ogrille est fabriqu\u00e9e \u00e0 partir de filets de p\u00eache r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9s. Son motif carr\u00e9 optimis\u00e9 offre une r\u00e9sistance \u00e9lev\u00e9e \u00e0 la traction et renforce l\u2019ancrage du sol, en limitant les mouvements lat\u00e9raux.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>G\u00e9ocellule<\/strong> : notre structure alv\u00e9olaire flexible confine le sol dans des cellules hexagonales, ce qui limite les d\u00e9placements verticaux et horizontaux. geogrid prototype design\">\r\n                        <\/div>\r\n                                        <\/div>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/section>\r\n    \n\n\n<p>En combinant ces deux composants, Geocell Grid assure une meilleure r\u00e9partition des charges, limite les d\u00e9placements lat\u00e9raux et optimise l\u2019\u00e9vacuation de l\u2019eau. Les essais en laboratoire indiquent que ce syst\u00e8me hybride permet de r\u00e9duire de plus de 40 % la hauteur des couches de sol renforc\u00e9, compar\u00e9 aux m\u00e9thodes classiques.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ecoconception-et-applications-evolutives\"><strong><strong><strong>\u00c9coconception et applications \u00e9volutives<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Chaque \u00e9l\u00e9ment de Geocell Grid est con\u00e7u dans une optique de durabilit\u00e9. La g\u00e9ocellule est fabriqu\u00e9e \u00e0 partir de d\u00e9chets m\u00e9nagers post-consommation en HDPE (bouteilles de shampoing, de lait&#8230;). La g\u00e9ogrille est issue de filets de p\u00eache usag\u00e9s, une source majeure de pollution plastique marine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le syst\u00e8me est pens\u00e9 pour une mise en \u0153uvre rapide et flexible. Son format modulaire facilite l\u2019installation sur site, m\u00eame sur des terrains irr\u00e9guliers, sans pr\u00e9paration lourde. Des encoches d\u2019orientation permettent une pose aussi bien horizontale que verticale.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-prototypage-et-validation-des-performances\"><strong><strong><strong>Prototypage et validation des performances<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Pour valider notre concept, nous avons r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un prototype \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle 1:200 simulant la stabilisation d\u2019une pente sujette aux glissements de terrain. Les essais ont montr\u00e9 que les zones prot\u00e9g\u00e9es par Geocell Grid pr\u00e9sentaient nettement moins de d\u00e9placement du sol que les zones non trait\u00e9es \u2014 confirmant la pertinence structurelle et le potentiel de d\u00e9ploiement \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle de notre solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les retours des mentors du secteur ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s positifs. Baninder Kaur, key account manager, a salu\u00e9 les nombreux b\u00e9n\u00e9fices environnementaux du projet. Joao Clemencio, ing\u00e9nieur commercial, a quant \u00e0 lui soulign\u00e9 la flexibilit\u00e9 de la g\u00e9ogrille et s\u2019est int\u00e9ress\u00e9 aux propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques des mat\u00e9riaux recycl\u00e9s utilis\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fabrication-durable-et-competitive\"><strong><strong><strong>Fabrication durable et comp\u00e9titive<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Notre strat\u00e9gie de production repose sur des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s \u00e0 faible consommation d\u2019\u00e9nergie, tels que le moulage par compression et le soudage thermique. Chaque composant de Geocell Grid est enti\u00e8rement fabriqu\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de mat\u00e9riaux recycl\u00e9s, donnant une seconde vie \u00e0 des d\u00e9chets dans des applications critiques d\u2019infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour la g\u00e9ogrille, nous collectons, nettoyons et d\u00e9coupons les filets de p\u00eache usag\u00e9s. Ces segments sont ensuite assembl\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un liant en poly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne basse densit\u00e9 (HPDE), puis moul\u00e9s \u00e0 chaud pour former des panneaux robustes \u00e0 maille r\u00e9sistante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour la g\u00e9ocellule, nous utilisons du HPDE recycl\u00e9, issu de plastiques m\u00e9nagers courants (bouteilles de lait, bidons de lessive\u2026). Le plastique est lav\u00e9, s\u00e9ch\u00e9, d\u00e9coup\u00e9 en feuilles, puis moul\u00e9 en panneaux alv\u00e9olaires.
