L\u2019id\u00e9e est simple : transformer des canettes usag\u00e9es en modules de toiture l\u00e9gers et modulaires.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-repenser-les-dechets-en-aluminium\"><strong><strong><strong>Repenser les d\u00e9chets en aluminium<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Chaque minute, environ 113 200 canettes en aluminium sont recycl\u00e9es dans le monde. Malgr\u00e9 un taux de recyclage global estim\u00e9 \u00e0 70 %, de nombreuses canettes finissent encore \u00e0 la d\u00e9charge. En cause : un processus de recyclage \u00e9nergivore bas\u00e9 sur la fonte, qui engendre des pertes de mati\u00e8re, et l\u2019\u00e9limination syst\u00e9matique des canettes ab\u00eem\u00e9es ou d\u00e9form\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le recyclage traditionnel de l\u2019aluminium n\u00e9cessite une consommation d\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e9lev\u00e9e pour la fusion et le remodelage du m\u00e9tal. Bien que ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 soit efficace, il entra\u00eene tout de m\u00eame une perte de mati\u00e8re. De plus, les canettes ab\u00eem\u00e9es ou d\u00e9form\u00e9es sont souvent jet\u00e9es au lieu d\u2019\u00eatre r\u00e9utilis\u00e9es, ce qui r\u00e9duit l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 globale du recyclage.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-une-approche-mecanique-sans-fonte\"><strong><strong><strong>Une approche m\u00e9canique, sans fonte<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Notre solution consiste \u00e0 compresser les canettes pour leur donner une forme incurv\u00e9e, sans les faire fondre. Cela permet de conserver l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 du mat\u00e9riau tout en \u00e9liminant presque totalement la consommation d\u2019\u00e9nergie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Le processus commence par la collecte locale de canettes, notamment via des campagnes communautaires. Les canettes sont ensuite transform\u00e9es en modules courb\u00e9s uniformes gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 deux presses : une presse manuelle \u00e0 levier et une presse hydraulique. Toutes deux utilisent un moule en acier usin\u00e9 CNC pour garantir la forme souhait\u00e9e. Nous avons pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 que Can Roof n\u2019est pas con\u00e7u comme une solution permanente, mais que sa dur\u00e9e de vie peut \u00eatre prolong\u00e9e avec des rev\u00eatements ou des produits d\u2019\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9. Et en fin de vie, les modules peuvent \u00eatre recycl\u00e9s par fonte, ajoutant une \u00e9tape au cycle de vie du mat\u00e9riau plut\u00f4t que de le stopper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il s\u2019est \u00e9galement interrog\u00e9 sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 des clous \u00e0 l\u2019assemblage. Nous avons pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 notre syst\u00e8me d\u2019embo\u00eetement moul\u00e9, qui simplifie le montage et r\u00e9duit le besoin en fixations externes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baninder Kaur, responsable grands comptes chez Xometry, s\u2019est int\u00e9ress\u00e9e \u00e0 la faisabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019installation. Nous avons soulign\u00e9 la l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 des modules et leur design modulaire, qui permet une mise en place rapide \u2014 particuli\u00e8rement utile en cas de catastrophe naturelle ou dans id=\"h-vers-une-production-a-plus-grande-echelle\"><strong><strong><strong>Vers une production \u00e0 plus grande \u00e9chelle<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Nos essais montrent qu\u2019il faut environ 220 newtons pour compresser une canette et en faire un module de toiture \u2014 une force facilement atteignable, ce qui rend le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 adapt\u00e9 aussi bien \u00e0 une production manuelle qu\u2019industrielle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9, leur disponibilit\u00e9 et leur faible co\u00fbt, les canettes peuvent \u00eatre collect\u00e9es localement. Cela ouvre la voie \u00e0 des ateliers de production d\u00e9centralis\u00e9s, notamment dans des r\u00e9gions o\u00f9 les mat\u00e9riaux de construction sont rares ou hors de prix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous envisageons trois voies principales pour d\u00e9ployer Can Roof :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Les pays en d\u00e9veloppement<\/strong>, o\u00f9 il y a un besoin urgent de toitures abordables.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Les zones sinistr\u00e9es<\/strong>, o\u00f9 il faut installer des abris tr\u00e8s rapidement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Les villes engag\u00e9es dans une \u00e9conomie circulaire<\/strong>, \u00e0 la recherche de solutions innovantes et durables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Notre prochaine \u00e9tape ? Optimiser le design du moule, am\u00e9liorer le syst\u00e8me d\u2019embo\u00eetement et r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts de production. Nous pr\u00e9voyons aussi de tester diff\u00e9rents rev\u00eatements pour augmenter la r\u00e9sistance aux intemp\u00e9ries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec l\u2019accompagnement de l\u2019\u00e9quipe d\u2019ing\u00e9nierie de Xometry et l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des moules et pi\u00e8ces usin\u00e9s CNC, nous esp\u00e9rons faire passer Can Roof du prototype \u00e9tudiant \u00e0 une solution concr\u00e8te, transformant des d\u00e9chets en abris \u2014 l\u00e0 o\u00f9 on en a le plus besoin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f5f7f8;color:#f5f7f8\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Et vous, que pensez-vous du projet ?
