Si de nombreux composants \u00e9taient produits en grande s\u00e9rie et restent disponibles, une part importante de pi\u00e8ces sp\u00e9cifiques au mod\u00e8le est devenue rare, voire introuvable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un exemple cl\u00e9\u202f: les joints de porte, de fen\u00eatre et de capote. Bien que certains aient \u00e9t\u00e9 reproduits en petites s\u00e9ries par des sp\u00e9cialistes, la plupart ne sont plus fabriqu\u00e9s. Les joints d\u2019origine n\u2019\u00e9taient pas particuli\u00e8rement performants, et les proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de fabrication utilis\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque sont d\u00e9sormais obsol\u00e8tes. joints de porte gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019impression 3D<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Sur ma Lotti, le joint de la porte passager \u00e9tait encore intact, compos\u00e9 d\u2019un noyau en mousse recouvert de plastique. En revanche, celui de la porte conducteur \u00e9tait compl\u00e8tement d\u00e9sint\u00e9gr\u00e9. Un autre passionn\u00e9 de Lotus m\u2019a aid\u00e9 \u00e0 trouver des joints sur mesure, mais certaines zones, notamment en haut et \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re, n\u00e9cessitaient encore des ajustements. J\u2019ai vu dans le TPU (polyur\u00e9thane thermoplastique) une solution potentielle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sans dessins techniques disponibles, j\u2019ai con\u00e7u les pi\u00e8ces de remplacement de z\u00e9ro, puis les ai imprim\u00e9es chez moi en utilisant du TPU. Une fois le design finalis\u00e9, je me suis tourn\u00e9 vers Xometry pour des services de fabrication avanc\u00e9s afin de produire des joints pr\u00e9cis, durables et avec une finition de haute qualit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ameliorer-le-design-d-origine\"><strong>Am\u00e9liorer le design d\u2019origine<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, the original seal design didn\u2019t fully serve its purpose. My new design avoids these shortcomings while allowing for customization. I divided the seal into three parts to accommodate the constraints of home 3D printing. This modular approach also benefits other Elan owners, as each car varies slightly, and the parts can be tailored without a complete redesign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curieusement, le design original des joints laissait \u00e0 d\u00e9sirer. Ma nouvelle conception corrige ces d\u00e9fauts tout en offrant une personnalisation possible. J\u2019ai divis\u00e9 le joint en trois parties pour m\u2019adapter aux contraintes de l\u2019impression 3D \u00e0 domicile. Cette approche modulaire b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie \u00e9galement \u00e0 d\u2019autres propri\u00e9taires d\u2019Elan, car chaque v\u00e9hicule pr\u00e9sente des variations, permettant ainsi d\u2019adapter les pi\u00e8ces sans tout redessiner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les pi\u00e8ces que vous voyez ci-dessous montrent l\u2019ajustement avec la garniture de fen\u00eatre et le bord arri\u00e8re de la porte. Xometry a produit ces composants en TPU en utilisant le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de frittage s\u00e9lectif par laser (SLS). Je pr\u00e9vois de tester d&rsquo;autres it\u00e9rations et de produire des pi\u00e8ces avec le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) de Xometry pour obtenir une finition encore meilleure. Mon objectif est de me rapprocher autant que possible de l\u2019aspect des joints d\u2019origine tout en garantissant une flexibilit\u00e9 suffisante pour une \u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 efficace. D\u2019autres parties des joints commencent \u00e9galement \u00e0 montrer des signes d\u2019usure, et la prochaine \u00e9tape sera de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 leur remplacement.<\/p>\n\n\n montage de l\u2019Elan. Une partie se fixe \u00e0 l&rsquo;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 de la porte, une autre s\u2019interface avec le joint ext\u00e9rieur, et la troisi\u00e8me couvre la d\u00e9coupe int\u00e9rieure de la porte.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-innovation-a-l-honneur-l-impression-3d-au-nec-classic-car-show\"><strong>L\u2019innovation \u00e0 l\u2019honneur : l\u2019impression 3D au NEC Classic Car Show<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>L\u2019Elan \u00e9quip\u00e9e des pi\u00e8ces prototypes a \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9e au stand du Lotus Drivers Club lors du NEC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.necclassicmotorshow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Classic Car Show<\/a> \u00e0 Birmingham en novembre 2024. L\u2019utilisation de l\u2019impression 3D pour ces pi\u00e8ces a suscit\u00e9 beaucoup d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat, notamment parmi des professionnels de l\u2019industrie automobile, intrigu\u00e9s par
