Quest&#8217;ultimo, tuttavia, segue una scala differente che non \u00e8 lineare. I calibri dei metalli sono numeri standard sviluppati misurando lo spessore della lamiera rispetto al peso per piede quadrato.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sistema-di-calibro-per-la-lamiera\"><strong>Sistema di calibro per la lamiera<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>A differenza dei sistemi di misurazione metrici standard, in cui lo spessore della lamiera viene indicato direttamente in millimetri, i valori di calibro (gauge) rappresentano lo spessore sulla base di una sequenza cronologica di operazioni di trafilatura. Ci\u00f2 significa che un numero di calibro inferiore corrisponde a uno spessore maggiore della lamiera, mentre un numero pi\u00f9 elevato indica una lamiera pi\u00f9 sottile. Ad esempio, se uno spessore di 3 gauge corrisponde a circa 6,07 mm (0,2391 pollici), uno spessore di 38 gauge corrisponde a soli 0,15 mm (0,0060 pollici). In molte aree geografiche, le lamiere pi\u00f9 spesse di 6 mm vengono considerate lastre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poich\u00e9 ci sono calibri pi\u00f9 o meno adatti a ogni applicazione specifica, \u00e8 necessario effettuare un&#8217;attenta valutazione in fase di progettazione. Ad esempio, una lamiera da 10 gauge (3,4 mm o 0,1345 pollici) \u00e8 ideale per applicazioni destinate a un uso intensivo, come componenti strutturali.<\/p>\n\n\n    <aside
