L\u2019MJF, con le sue propriet\u00e0 isotrope e una risoluzione di stampa leggermente superiore, \u00e8 ideale per parti funzionali pi\u00f9 piccole. SLS, che offre una gamma pi\u00f9 ampia di materiali e volumi di costruzione maggiori, \u00e8 pi\u00f9 adatto per prototipi visivi e parti funzionali di medie dimensioni. Questo processo prevede che un laser CO2 fonda selettivamente la polvere di plastica tracciando ogni sezione trasversale della parte, strato per strato. Si tratta di un processo in pi\u00f9 fasi in cui un sottile strato di polvere viene steso sul piano di stampa e riscaldato appena sotto il punto di sinterizzazione. La tecnologia SLS \u00e8 anche in grado di stampare con nylon caricati al carbonio ed alluminio, inoltre le macchine SLS specializzate ad alta temperatura, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eos.info\/en-us\/polymer-solutions\/polymer-materials\/high-performance#ht-23\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">come quelle di EOS<\/a> , possono gestire materiali termoplastici tecnici come il PEEK. di stampa<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Il processo di stampa di MJF richiede la stessa quantit\u00e0 di tempo per strato rispetto a SLS, in cui il tempo per strato \u00e8 dettato dalla complessit\u00e0 della sezione trasversale da scansionare con il laser. In definitiva, le stampe MJF sono pi\u00f9 veloci di quelle in SLS e si distinguono da quest\u2019ultima tecnica nelle produzioni in serie in quanto \u00e8 possibile rimuovere pi\u00f9 facilmente i piani di stampa dalla macchina rispetto a quelle in SLS. Entrambi i processi consentono ai piani di stampa di raffreddarsi all&#8217;esterno della macchina, con un tempo di raffreddamento che richiede in genere tra le 10 e le 20 ore, a seconda della densit\u00e0 del nesting. Mentre un piatto di stampa si sta raffreddando, \u00e8 possibile inserire un nuovo piatto nella macchina per avviare una nuova stampa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nelle tecniche SLS e MJF, si consigliano tre piani di stampa per ogni macchina: uno che stampando, uno che raffreddi e uno che ha raffreddato le parti smontate e pronte per la lavorazione. Questa configurazione consente di ottimizzare l\u2019utilizzo della macchina con tempi di inattivit\u00e0 minimi.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-volume-di-stampa\"><strong><strong>Volume di stampa<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Le macchine SLS possono realizzare parti con volumi di stampa maggiori (fino a 550 x 550 x 750 mm) rispetto alla stampa MJF (fino a 380 x 284 x 380 mm). Ma in entrambi i casi, non \u00e8 consigliabile realizzare componenti grandi quanto l&#8217;area di stampa disponibile, poich\u00e9 ci\u00f2 pu\u00f2 creare condizioni termiche che possono influenzare la parte (deformazione, torsione, restringimento, ecc.) e aumentare il rischio di fallimenti della stampa (scollamento \/inceppamento dell&#8217;estrusore).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Per massimizzare l&#8217;efficienza nella stampa SLS, \u00e8 fondamentale utilizzare l&#8217;intero volume di stampa, poich\u00e9 il processo consente un riciclo minimo della polvere (l&#8217;80% della polvere recuperata dalle parti stampate MJF \u00e8 riutilizzabile, rispetto alla SLS con una riciclabilit\u00e0 del 30-50%).<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-costo-di-mjf-vs-sls-nbsp\"><strong><strong>Costo di MJF vs. SLS <\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Utilizzando il disegno di una parte (vedi file CAD) come modello di prova, abbiamo valutato il prezzo per le tecnologie di stampa 3D MJF e SLS in PA 12 (grigio) utilizzando il nostro Motore di Quotazione Istantaneo Xometry\u00ae. I risultati hanno indicato che l\u2019SLS \u00e8 circa il 20% pi\u00f9 costoso per la realizzazione di singole unit\u00e0, ma SLS e MJF hanno costi simili quando si aumentano le unit\u00e0.
