Estimate coating area in SolidWorks?
E
I’m designing a protective enclosure for an outdoor sensor unit in SolidWorks, and I need to estimate how much polyurethane coating I’ll need. When I use the Evaluate – Mass Properties tool, it seems to include all internal faces of the assembly, which throws off the paint calculation. Has anyone found a reliable way to get only the external, exposed surface area of an assembled part? Any workflow tips would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
