Airtight joint between two aluminum frame enclosures?

Hi, I have two 400 mm cubical enclosures from 20×20 mm aluminum profiles with glass on all sides except one. I need to connect them into a single temperature-controlled unit and keep the joint airtight. Has anyone found a reliable way to seal aluminum frame assemblies like this? Would you go with a silicone gasket or a structural adhesive to prevent air leaks around the glass edges?

Two glass-panelled aluminum-frame enclosures joined into one temperature-controlled unit sounds like a tricky build. You’ve challenges in balancing air-tightness, thermal expansion, and serviceability. A compressed silicone or EPDM gasket is best. If you are leaning towards silicone, you choose the right hardness and profile. A foamed silicone or EPDM gasket, 40–50 Shore A, will handle it.
