MJF or carbon DLS for flexible TPU parts?

Hello, I’m working on a project that requires TPU/EPU parts for vibration damping and energy absorption, with a focus on resilience and tear resistance. I’m comparing HP MJF and Carbon DLS™ for these parts in terms of print speed, surface quality (for exposed parts with fine detail), and cost efficiency for small to mid-sized batches. I’d appreciate insights from anyone who has experience with both technologies, especially for similar applications.

Both HP MJF and Carbon DLS are great options for durable parts, especially with TPU/EPU. From what I've seen, MJF gives you more freedom with complex designs and works well for high-mix production. DLS does have smoother surfaces right off the bat, but with MJF, you can get decent surface quality by using chemical vapor smoothing after printing. So if you need more design flexibility and are okay with some post-processing, MJF could still be a good choice. Here’s a helpful resource on working with rubber materials for more info.
